Bruce Bartlett has significant civil litigation experience and has represented clients over a vast range of legal disciplines. He has obtained substantial jury verdicts on behalf of individuals sustaining catastrophic injuries. He has represented clients pursuing claims for wrongful death, legal malpractice, medical malpractice, and catastrophic personal injuries. Bruce has successfully prosecuted and defended complex commercial and construction defect litigation in both jury and non-jury trials. He has defended class action lawsuits and defended real estate developers against civil claims made by the Missouri Attorney’s General Office.
Bruce has been recognized by both the Missouri state and Federal court systems and endorsed as an expert in title insurance and disbursing related matters, real estate closing standards and procedures, mortgage disclosure requirements, the Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”) and related regulations. He has acted as both a testifying and consulting expert in multiple matters, including class action lawsuits related to mortgage disclosure and practices. His testimony has been relied on in courts to determine the standard of care in title-related issues.
Bruce has filled the role of President and General Counsel for a full-service land title company. He is involved in all aspects of litigation related to real estate issues on behalf of the title company.
