Union Disputes

One of our most unique practice areas is our representation of employees in disputes with their labor unions. These cases involve claims that the union violated its “duty of fair representation” to an individual employee or group of employees. Lawyers at our firm, Allen Press and Joe Jacobson, tried and won the largest of these cases ever tried to a verdict. The case was a class action brought on behalf of the 2,300 former pilots of TWA against their former union, the Air Line Pilots Association.
